Bottle: Golden with a little haze, small foamy layer, sulphur and lemony hops in the nose, small malty bachground; moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour, quite light bodied, but soft; sulphur and lemony hops - again - in the lingering dryish bitter-sweet finish. All in all a bit disappointing......

Bottle from The Cave. Golden colour, white head. Aroma is malty and flowery. Flavour is malty, flowery, with elderflower, which I’m not fond of. Soapy. Fresh. Fairly dry and bitter finish.

Medium coarseish head doesn’t last. Light coppery body. Floral peas aroma with fruity strawy notes. Dryish fruity earthy strawy taste with floral notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Lemony notes hover behind it all, the entire way through. Dryish grainy lemony aftertaste with floral notes. Very nice. Harmonic and highly drinkable. (0.5l bottle, Cornelius, Edinburgh.)

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a mid-sized, minimal off-white foamy head.Moderately sweet, slightly grainy and juicy-fruity nose with a tinge of dust. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Malt-accented, moderately lemon-fruity and blossom-like (elderflowers) taste; moderately dry and fruity finish with a light medicinal touch. 17.XI.09

Bottle, The Cave, Glasgow. Found this lurking at the back of the cupboard from earlier in the summer. Poured a clear golden colour with a fading white head. Aroma had some fruit and malt notes, but nothing too interesting. Can see that they’re aiming for something a bit different here, but it doesn’t quite come off. Somehow lacking balance and the hoppage is too muted. Drinkable enough, but not one of their finest.

Bottle from Sainsbury during their beer competition. Clear crystal gold. Very thin white head. Grassy hoppy aroma. Almost elderflower like. A bit like a lager with elderflower and more hop than usual. Bit of a cross over beer really. Reasonably entertaining but no where near something like the Thornbridge elderflower beer, Craven Silk, in terms of flavour. Better than the other 2 Williams beers that I’ve had in this winners circle so far. Doesn’t taste of 5% either. Decent really I suppose

50cl bottle from Sainsburys. Straw with a thin white head and moderate carbonation; aroma of citrus and some leafy Bavarian-style hops; soft and zesty in the mouth with a grainy feel and some honeyed sweetness. Not bad.

Bottle from Sainsburys in Pinner. Golden pour with small white head. Hoppy, fruity aroma. Tastes slightly hoppy, fruity, bitter. Rather bland to be honest.
