50cl bottle from Appellation Wines Comely Bank. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head and gentle bubbles. Nose - sweetcorn and pale malt. Maybe some green beans. Taste - honeyed cornflakes with a gentle lemon zing and then a spicy hop tang on the finish. Palate - light to medium bodied with a light but creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - nice lager. I would put it closer to helles than pils and the late hopping is quite gentle in its effect.

(Keg at Black Door, 20140606) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness and grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, butter, grass, fruitiness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity and bitter. A weird blend between a Helles and a Czech pils.

On tap @ Schouskjelleren. Clear golden body with a small white head. Light fruity aroma with grain. Flavor is sweetish, soft, light malty with some fruit. Medium body and moderate in aftertaste. OK easy to drink, but not very interesting.

Draught @ Black Door
Aroma is rather grainy and somewhat sweet with honey. Flavour is grassy with grain and sweetish fruity tones. Also some butter. Quite close to the Bayern ones; a bit more sweet though. In blind tasting I’d say this is a helles.

On tap at Schouskjelleren. It’s a golden one, clear, and with a small, white head. The aroma has some maize, with hay, citrus peel, pine cones and grass, rather boring actually. Low on bitterness all the way, especially in the finish. Grass, hay, citrus peel and pale malts in the flavor, medium bodied and quite dry, with a pleasant carbonation level. Short finish. A clean one, but damn boring. 140501

Tap at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a crystal cleat light amber with a frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is light yeast citrus. The flavour is medium to light bitter with a smooth buttery malt citrus floral hop palate. Medium to light bodied with lively carbonation. Layered for ten weeks? Sounds just like me :-)
