Das geschmacklich schlankere, etwas leichtere Bier Pilsner Brauart; nicht ganz so herb wie unser Rappen-Pils und etwas leichter im Trunk. Es ist auch hervorragend als Bier zum Essen geeignet.

Bottle: Clear, greenish golden coloured, loose, relatively quickly collapsing white head; light grainy to malty nose with some woody hops underneath and a buttery tinge;light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; bitter and pale-malty finish with a faint citrussy touch. Not that bad......

(screw cap bottle, with thanks to Quack-Duck for the Rappen collection !) Clear, greenish golden colour with a mid-sized frothy white head. Grainy pale malty aroma, also slightly buttery with herbal and woody hops. Moderately bitter flavour, light bodied with a crisp carbonation. Grainy malt-character with herbal and slightly woody hoppy spots; moderately dry and bitter hoppy finish. Simple but good. 16.XI.10

bottle from Rapp Heimgetränkedienst. Their beer is not available from shops, but only through their own delivery lorries. Clear pale golden colour, large whitehead. Malty-grainy nose, slightly hoppy. Medium-bodied, malty base with hints of grain, perhaps some bread. Shy resiny-herbal hops balanced the beer nicely. A really well-balanced and clean example of the style, rather malt-accented as is typical for southern Germany.
