A black beer, a head is big and brown. Aroma has liquirice, sweet cherries, some coffee and sugary sweetness. Taste has lots of cherries that is mixing to roastiness of coffee and liquirice, quite sweet. Medium+ bodied. In principle, interesting mix of cherries and roasted notes. In practise, not so good, the flavours aren’t mixed nicely together.

Bottle at home, 10th June 16. Pours black with a big throthy tan head. Aroma is chocolate, cherry, roasted malts. Taste is cocoa, bitter and sweet, slight sourness to some cherry. Palate is slightly over carbonated, but it drinks really well. Nice, very flavoursome porter.

On tap at the Happy Raven Lincoln. Black appearance with a foamy, brown head. Aroma has alcoholic, cherry syrup, chocolate, and roast. Somewhat tart. Medium body. The cherry in the mouth is more authentic than the aroma but it’s still a bit awkward. OK.

Bottle from Beers’n’more. Lots of cherry, dry chocolate, sour and sweet. Very intense, almost too extreme. Harmony is borderline, but it does work.
