0.33 l bottle from ’Drankgigant’, best before December 2016. Clear, very dark red to black with a massive, creamy, stable, brown head. Rather faint, sweetish, slightly roasty and minimally fruity aroma of cocoa, chocolate and cherries. Sweet, roasty and fruity taste of dark chocolate, coffee, cocoa powder and sweet cherries, followed by a short, slightly bitter, roasty and minimally tart finish. Medium body, very effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Very tasty, like cherry chcocolate, but way too much carbonation, therefore lacks a decent mouthfeel.

Sampled from the tap at Churchkey. Pours black with a fluffy chocolate brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has roasted malts and dark grains with a bit of cherry underlying. Flavor has a nice combination of roasted malts, dark grain and tart cherries.

Bouteille de 33cl de Solaris, Tallinn. Batch#181, BB 25.01.2017.

9/IV/16 - 33cl bottle @ home - BB: 25/I/17 (2016-335) Thanks to sebletitje for sharing the bottle!

Clear dark brown to black beer, huge dense creamy beige head, very stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: in the bottle, upon opening, there's definitely some cherry, an vanilla as well. In the glass it's more sweet smells, roasted, coffee, hoppy, some caramel and dried fruits. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very sourish, bit sweet, sugary, lemony touch, pretty bitter, tannins. Aftertaste: vanilla, sourish, cherries, chocolate, cinnamon, bitter touch, some coffee, hoppy.

Towering, dark cream-brown head, stubbornly tenacious leaving textbook lace over red-shot black beer. Rainwater, wet dog, pine; roasted/burnt, sweetish. Huge head seriously prevents purposefully sniffing. Sweet-sourish-roasted flavour, excellent balance! (Red) fruity and roasted at the same time. Lactic acid. Very creamy texture, feels somehow nourishing. Good carbonation. This is surprisingly good - a true exotic discovery!
