Bottle 330 ml. Almost black color with light brown foam. Aroma: dried cherries, cherry brandy, prunes, roasted malt and other malt. Taste: cherries, liqueur, very wine, dark malt. Like.

Bij Maakun. Fles. Zuurtje door dikke zoete kersen met chocomel schuim erbovenop. Erg vreemd! Backlog from 2015/08/28.

Looks amazing, pitch black pour, very nice velvety head that keeps its height for a while. You can feel the cherries in the smell, along with caramel and something else that I can only identify as wood. The taste - very interesting. Sour, with a distinctive taste of cherries, bitter body and with a bit of lactose to bring everything together. Smooth texture and just a hint of carbonation. The sweetness does overwhelm a bit, on the first sip, but is OK afterwards.

Bottle. Roasted malts, (sour) cherries, liquorice, chocolate, coffee. Moderately sweet and bitter. Slightly sour. Medium-bodies and quite creamy.

Batch 058, BBE 02 09 15 - Pours pitch black with a brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, hints of cherries, dark chocolate, coffee and licorice. Taste is smooth, heavy with cherry juice notes, hints of roastiness, licorice and dark chocolate. Finish is slightly tart with loads of cherries, some roastiness and berries. Not as tart as you would expect, but still loads of cherries here.

Aroma has cocoa, licorice and soy sauce. Feels slightly musty – umami? Flavour is somewhat tart with soy sauce, licorice, citrus and tart cherries. Dark, roasted and tart – not exactly my thing.

Porter obv zure kersen, en dat is het dan ook, zwart met fijne bruine kraag, aroma van koffie, volmoutigheid, chocolade, erg ziet en vele zure kersen. Smaken evenzo, ben er mig niet helemaal weg van, vind met name de balzns nog niet helemaal optimaal. Gewoon te zoet en ts zuur tov van het basis bier.

Bottle. Thick black oily pour, beautiful. Rich aroma of creamy mocha, cherry, roasted coffee and salmiak. Tastes surprisingly sweet and fruity, with sour cherry, vinous tart, oak, salmiak, some chocolate and mild bitters. Strange beer, nice though.
