Meanwhile now it is 2016 and a nice letter informed us that we would only be getting 60% of the Citra we ordered. Damn here we go again. We had just re-brewed the new version of Faceless Spreadsheet Ninja and we did not want to go through the whole variations process again. We also have a history of making changing hop beers (Little Things that Kill and Holy Hoppin' Hell) so the possibility of adding a 3rd changing hop beer to our roster opened up. So when we relaunch Ninja in March it will be as "Spreadsheet Ninja" a 4.8% single hop, changing hop pilsner. Many of the batches will be the Citra hop as we are only a little short on Citra leaf but expect some other batches to materialise during the year. I'm particularly interested to see how the Sorachi one comes out.

From can with it’s CORRECT name of Faceless Spreadsheet Ninja (I hear ratebeer is refusing to relabel this despite numerous requests): Nice citra nose. Pours slightly orange-gold. Very well balanced flavour profile, with the citra certainly adding something special to usually dull pilsner.

Can from Brew Bristol. Deep gold, with a slight, white, head and next to no carbonation. Aroma of bruised peaches, apricot and tangerines, with a touch of citrus hops. Crisp malts, more sweet, ripe, fruit, leading to a decent, bitter, finish. A decent lager.

330ml bottle. Pours amber with a slight haze. A citrussy pilsner with a touch of grassiness. One of the better pilsners from the hip young craft brewers.

Can 330ml (AbM, BB 09/2015 as "Weird Beard Faceless Spreadsheet Ninja")
Golden-amber color, small steady creamy white head, some lace. Grassy and a bit grainy aroma. Light to medium bodied. Fruity and grassy pils with citrus. Unfortunately some grainy notes which I don’t like so much.

Can from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a clear straw colour with a thin broken white head and some brokem lace. The aroma is light grassy hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with light yeast, grass, pine needle palate. Light bodied witn average carbobation. Nice but not enough Citra for me.
