Bottle as part of the 12 stouts of christmas. Aroma is sweet dry roasty. Pitch black with light tan head. Flavour is moderately sweet chocolate dry roasted bitter coffee that hangs around the mouth for a long while. Flavour is a lot less harsh and more rounded when the beer warms up a bit. Palete is full and smooth carbonation is soft nut present.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of madmitch76. Pours a deep dark brown with an orange hue and a small off-white head. Sweet mellow roast. Medium body, lowish carbonation, sweet roast, a little overripe fruit, cocoa powder. Hardly any bitterness. Very enjoyable. 131112

Gravity dispense at the Prince of Wales, Farnborough BF - 12/10/12. Dark Mahogony brown approaching black with a frothy coffee head - this looks the part ! Dry roast malt nose with tones of milk chocolate and a little coffee. Full on milk chocolate taste with particular emphasis on the milk. If you are lactose intolerant don’t go here ! Rich creamy milk flavour combined with a bag of crushed maltesers! Smooth drinking medium bodied beer with soft carbonation. Overall this was good stuff, never had a milk stout so milky! A little oversweet at times. I’ll definately seek this out again, but would limit myself to a half.

Black, thin ruby edges, big tan frothy head, good lacing
Aroma of soft roasted malts, deep dark caramel malts, some coffee, dark sugars, smooth, hint of toast
Taste of smooth roasted malts, milk sugars, deep caramel malts, bit of liquorice, soft dark sugars, bit of treacle, soft dark fruits, gentle, really good flavour
Palate - soft carb, medium body, smooth rich malts, good mouthfeel. Finish as main flavour, bit woody. smooth clean finish

ChrisOs Early December Tasting. Clear red - brown beer. Good pale tan head. Demi dry palate. Tangy dark malt with a good balance of lacto sweetness. Traces of red fruits. Semi dry finish. Tasty little beer, does what it says on the tin.

Bottle from the Bristol Beer Factory consumed at home Sunday 12th Feb’ 2012 Pours dark brown with off white head edging towards beige. Smooth and with a nice milky chocolatey flavour, medium body and with a little caramel but with some creaminess as well/ Pleasant easy drinking stout, only a light roastiness. Good stuff. Bottled at oh6gdx’s birthday bash at chriso’s. Really dark black. no head. Cocoa aroma. Mid sweet with clean, rounded mouthfeel and medium body. Earthy finish with low bitterness.

Bottle at Brouge, Richmond. It pours very dark brown, with an off-white lace. The nose is cafe latte, milk chocolate, sweet liquorice and a touch of roasted malt. The taste is milk, chocolate, caramel, cola, sweet liquorice, cafe latte and some toasted malt, with a sweet finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Solid, but a too sweet for me.
