Bottle, Bierpakhuis Albergen. Amber color. Pours a big head. Floral citric hops and a hint of caramel in the aroma. Floral citric hopbitter flavor. Earthy yeasty notes. Hint of caramel washed away by the omnipresent hops. Not a perfect beer, but characterful.

Bottle shared with Koelschtrinker. Trübes dunkel orange goldenes Bier mit einer geringen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach rotem malz, rote Früchte, sehr hopfig. Geschmack ist mild hopfig, rotes malz, Harz.

Bottle from het Biermoment, BB Aug 2016, large sample. Hazy amber color, big rocky off-white head. Aroma of grassy and piney hops, some caramel, bit butterscotch, citrus. Slight caramelly sweetness, medium to high bitterness. Carbonation and bitterness make the finish fairly dry. Ok beer.

Bottle [from trade with bierkoning] @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus and Thompson. Murky even opaque orangy color, huge soapy rough off-white head. Smell malts, some hops. Taste malts, lightly some hops, some fruitpeel, firm fizzy carbonation that really annoys and gets in the way of the flavor. Ok body as far as I can judge, way too high carbonated.

Bottle @ benzai. Slight gusher. Huge white head with murky yellow crap. Smells malts, herbs, yeast. Tastes herbs, malts, doughy, meh. Medium body, too much carbo.

330ml bottle at home as part of European Local Swap 02/2015 from RW80, many thanks. BB 8/2016. big gusher. amber, rather hazy color. quite big off-white head. smells of (pumpkin) spices, a bit vegetably, light herbs, light off-smell. kinda weird smell. medium body, rather bubbly carbonation, soft light bubbly mouthfeel. tastes of spices, some sweetness, some red fruits and berries, light sour / acidic, red currant notes, herbs, some citric notes, light grass. finishes light herbal / citric bitter and with some currant notes. Interesting brew. I am not so crazy about the smell but the taste is quite nice and refreshing. Overall I like drinking this.

Dark amber-red color, big cloudy off-white head. Aroma has grass, yeast and is quite musty. Medium-bodied, active carbonation. Tart red berries, caramel and alcohol in the flavor. It’s not bitter but acidic. Feels like typical "too much yeast and minor infection"-combination.

fles van @Bierkoning, bedankt Edo !. schenkt wazig bleek bruin/rood met zeer ... zéér schuimige kraag, maar nog vervelender... er drijven geconcentreerde vlokken in mijn bier en in de kraag. maar het flesje heeft al enkele dagen stil in de kast gestaan.... wtf... het is niet het eerste PoachPoater die mislukt is.. aroma is wat moutig, fruitig en floraal, even zo de smaken, maar op één of andere manier is mijn smaakbeleving en plezier al behoorlijk verpest... het moet nu geen standaard kenmerk gaan worden van deze bieren want dan ben ik er wel klaar mee ! --- Beer merged from original tick of Roogeeze on 18 May 2018 at 13:16 - Score: 5
