Subtle wine like tannic qualities and white grape aroma emerged from this Biere Brut, after a rest of 3 years in a single barrel, and led us to offer sour cherries and raspberries for re fermentation. Another life-cycle complete, we find an experience akin to that offered by a juicy, fresh Beaujolais. Further aromatic evolution is likely.

A light and fresh beer, best accompanied by taking that which faces outward, and turning inwards - when you first came into being, what was experienced? What is your original face?

Bottle, 750 ml courtesy of Miro B. Shared with him and Max. Pours hazy red with small white head. Fruity, berries, grapes, tad funky, vinous, moderate sourness. Watery. Medium bodied.

Bottle split at the Tickombe 30K last tasting before lockdown 2, thanks to Dave, 01/11/20. Hazed reddish pour with a decent faded crimson cap that clears to a swirl. Nose is tangy berry fruits, balsa wood, lemon rind, light sweat. Taste comprises raspberry pips, sweet edge, vinous, vanilla trace, damp hay. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Not bad but not up to the high standards of recent CW sours.

Botrle shared at Colin's pre lockdown 30k tasting. Thanks to Wingman for this one. A hazed reddy orange pink coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is sour grape, buttery biscuit, vinous, vanilla raspberry, gooseberry,. Palate is semi sweet, vanilla, lowish carbonation. Good.

Bottle from CW online. Pours hazy orange red with a thin off white ring of head. Aroma is white wine, butter, vanilla, grape, little hint of funk, jammy fruit, wood. Taste is jammy tart redcurrant, grape, sharp funk, bit of blue cheese. Dry woody finish. Decent stuff

Bottled 750ml. -at Goblet Zagreb, shared with hrabren. Unclear red/amber coloured, minimal white head, sourish nose with whiff of butter. Subdued buttery popcorn like notes with some berries and cherries. Sourish finish with low carbonation.

0.75 l bottle shared at Goblet Beer Store, Zagreb with Ogi and the lads. Hazy pinkish red, minimal head. Aroma is butter or margarine at first, then there is light raspberry or cherry. There's bread, glue. Sour, soft, flat, creamy. Candy. Light finish.
