The Swedish name for Ptarmigan is Ripa, hence the name of the IPA you have in front of you. On the front label you see a work of art made only with a trowel on wet mortar, that covered the chimney in a newly renovated sauna in the Nordic outskirts. The artist were inspired by the approaching winter and the Ptarmigans adaption to this new season, changing from summer to its Snow White winter garb.

On tap at The Bishops Arms Kiruna (new). Pours clear, deep golden with a white head. Malty and hoppy with mild bready notes, ripe berries, mild citrus and hints of pine. Medium sweet with medium flavour intensity and ditto bitterness. Rather smooth and enjoyable.

Keg, at Bishop's Arms, Kiruna. Hazy golden, small head. Citrusy nose with minerals and funk. Dry with light to medium body and clean mouthfeel. Mineraler with pear, citrus and barnyard. Mid bitter finish.

Mørk gyldenbrun. Kjempehøyt kremaktig skum som daler sakte. Bæraroma. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Saken som aromaen. Kokte multer. Lett tørr avslutning. Artig.
