(Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 8 Feb 2018) Dark amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty nose with caramel, toffee and dried fruit. Malty taste with notes of caramel, toffee, dried fruit and a mild bitterness with slightly dusty hops. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced bitter. Quite nice.

Gravicask at Tuckers Maltings Beer Festival. Filmy white layer. Dark amber coloured body. Aroma of dark fruits and mid-sweet malts. Ripe fruity flavours joined by caramel malts. Mild malt-fruity bitterness to the ending. More or less true to the style. (Newton Abbot 27.04.2017).

Bottle from Kris Wines. Average bitter, caramelly malt aroma, pours out kind of dull. Small ring of head clings to glass. Taste also features the malts, more on the sweet side, kind of sugary, gingerbread notes. Not too bad, but not what I ws hoping for either.

500ml bottle, just out of date when poured into an ’Old Speckled Hen’ badged vase shaped pint glass at home on 28th Oct 2016. Red hue to the amber body, clear and clean looking: the head a fast fading off-white affair. Malty, toffee nose and initial taste, mild hop bitterness arrives mid-sip but not a lot going on to be honest. Nothing wrong with it, just not going to test your senses greatly.
