Ascend through dense pockets of high-altitude, floral hoppiness before reveling in an immersive malt body with a bitter yet balanced finish.

good citrucy hop aroma with some light pine, and a touch of soapiness. as it warms the malts really come through, light bready malts, and some more sweet caramel malts. medium bitter finish, and a long dry citrus aftertaste.

33cl bottle. Pours dark amber, medium transparent, with very fine, whitish foam. Aroma is rich, with malt, caramel, toffee, and sweet citrus, hoppy. Body is fairly full, with average carbonation. Taste is a nice combination of relevant sweet maltiness and medium-high bitterness. Very satisfying. Final is fairly long and bitter

Taste at the Coaltrain IPA Madness tasting. Pours a clear, dark, ruby brown color, with a medium, dense, tan head. The aroma is resin, honey, floral hops, and caramel. Sweet and malty, with an assertive, sharp bitterness. Medium body, with a crisp, sticky mouthfeel. This is a very aggressively hopped and tasty IPA.

A bit of funk on the nose. The bitterness again seems slightly astringent to me. Decent ipa, not great. Deschutes portland ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours amber from the bottle with a creamy head. The tropical notes are less overt than standard for the style. Instead, a blend of caramel and resin accompanied by light citrus & apple notes greets the nose. The hops makes itself felt in the taste, which is bitter with grapefruit and apple notes. Acridity in the finish. Body is medium, with moderate carbonation. Not bad.

Clear copper colour. Aroma and flavour have some sweet malts and ripe fruits. Perhaps some honey dew melon. Smooth and well rounded.

Bottle. Amber-copper color with white head. Aroma is grapefruit, toffee, earthy, piney and floral hops. Taste is toffee, grapefruit, again some earthy hops. Silky mouthfeel. Classic, more English-style IPA.
