malty and fresh hops in the aroma. Flavor wise, hops lean towards resin. Very drinkable and great body.

From a 355ml bottle on 3/5/2016. Pours a dark golden/light amber with a medium head. Has a light aroma of caramel and floral hops. Flavour wise, there’s a decent dash of caramel malt, some sweet citrus fruit, followed by quite a spicy, slightly peppery bitterness - a bit rye IPA-like. Medium bodied with average carbonation.Very solid.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 6/11/2016. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy deep reddish copper color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, light pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderate sticky, and creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Deschutes Inversion IPA 6.8% a reddish bet with a wisp of a beige head. Malty caramel aroma with minty fruity notes. I do get some odd dishwater and musty cheese aroma as well. The taste is sweet and balanced at first with light caramel then sweet citrus before the lasting drawn out bitterness kicks in with floral and pithy citrus rind bitterness flavors. Meh, not sure if it’s an average IPA or if it was just past it’s best.

Bottle. Aroma is complex mix of malty bread, floral and resinous hops and yeasty dough. Appearance is clear, dark brown with nice 2 finger-width beige head, minimal lacing. Taste is like aroma with the floral, resinous bitter hops dominating the malt and yeast but definitely a mix. Palate is light-to-medium body with average carbonation and long mildly bitter finish. Overall, nice complexity here which is nice, a little bit too far to the bitter side for me to truly enjoy but others should love it.

Bottle thanks to Sigmund. Beige head to a cloudy dark orange coloured body. Spiced malt-fruity nose. Soft flavours of orange and apricot together with caramel mats. Resinous bitterness to the ending. Foamy in the mouth. Nice. (Tomsø 23.06.2015).

Bottle from Saveur-Biere.fr, smuggled into the cinema and drunk whilst watching a very disappointing film. This was alright though. Decent fruity, hoppy floral character. Very hop-forward. Not bad.
