Deep orange amber with large off white head. Pine and floral hops with some mango and grapefruit. A good sweet caramel malt base leads to excellent grapefruit and pine resin bitterness. Medium creamy mouth with average carbonation leading to a long finish where the sweet malts makes another appearance. Nicely balanced IPA.

Draft: Pours amber with a large, beige head. Orange-peel, herbal aromas. Taste is malty, peppery orange. Orange-peel bittering. Very sweet and mild. Very good.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours a hazy golden orange with small off-white head. Aroma is hoppy, grapefruit and pine. Flavor is sweet, grapefruit with a dry bitter finish.

Draft pour. Dark amber color. A lot of pine and citrus hops on the aroma. Orange peel flavor with a long hop finish. Very flavorful. Very good.

Pours deep amber with a large, lasting head.Nose shows heavy sweet malt, piny hops, some fruit confectionery.More piny hops as flavours. Loads of sweet malt too. There’s a pretty potent sharp bitterness to battle the malt though.Needs more carbonation.Very full-flavoured stuff.

Bottle. A- Floral, hoppy, citrus, piney. A- Dark copper color, hazy liquid, tan head. T- Medium-Strong bitterness, subtle citrus, spruce. P- Full body, sharp texture, average carbonation, lingering bitter finish. O- Not as bitter and hardcore as I was expecting it to be. The citrus seems to fade as the beer warms and the floral tones come out stronger. This is a solid example of an IPA but still not one I find myself drooling over.

Kentucky Fried Charleston Trip Beer #32. 12 ounce bottle from the Beer Trappe, Lexington. Pours a clear amber color with a large foamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of resin, pine, herbal hops. Almost green. Some candied citrus and mild caramel malt. The taste is bitter citrus, tropical, resin hops, mild caramel malts. Medium bodied. Solid.

She pours a somewhat hazy copper and leaves the same colored body with a one finger white foamy head that dies within a minute and has some nice spider web lacing is left in the wake.
The smell has some strong citrusy and piney hops with a fair amount of caramel backs up the nose.
The taste is bittersweet as there is a very nice combination between the hops and the malts. It has a bitter citrus aftertaste and gets a bit malty as the beer warms. It has a semi-dry finish.
The palate is light to medium and comes across fairly sessionable. Carbonation is good for the style and good to me. It has a nice bitterness that assaults the tongue and mouth like a good AIPA should.
Overall, once I poured this out, it was way better, unsure why it almost just wasn’t having it when I was having this right out of the bottle. I would have this again.

Deep translucent copper color with lots of lacing. Malty sweet taste with lots of piney hops on top. Good light carbonation. Bitter finish with some honey flavor. Good IPA. Like a sweeter Sierra Nevada Torpedo.
