Goudkleurig bier met schuim. Smaak is redelijk zoet en fruitig met duidelijk iets van appel. Daarnaast is er iets van jenever te ontdekken. Best wel goed, deze versie, maar is wel wat vlak van smaak. Maar daarom misschien juist wel erg goed geslaagd.

Small off-white rim over fully hazy ochre beer. Boozy, vanilla, Bourbon rather than Calvados. Poire William liqueur, bit seafruit, mineral. Meaty esters, booze, faintly fruity. Reasonably complex, especially retronasal... tastes as if jenever infused. Fiery MF, alcoholburning, feels better carbonated than it looks. Boozy, but in an agreable way.
