(Bottle) Reddish brown colour with dense, beige head. Malty, spicy nose with cinnamon, ginger, dried fruit, orange peel, juniper needles, clove, coriander seed, caramel and a touch of oloroso sherry. Malty, spicy taste with notes of cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, orange peel, clove, dark fruit, hints of coffee and liquorice. Fairly dry finish with a balanced spicy bitterness. Medium body, smooth and well rounded. Quite spicy, but well balanced and tasty. Nice one.

Thanks to rosenbergh for this great brew! Best før 08.08.16 - Brygget 08.08.13 - Batch No. 1808/1911D
This christmas-brew starts smooth-malty. The herbs fit in the mainpart quite well, but are not too intense. But I can taste them quite well - only the cinnamon is a bit low in aroma, but coriander, cloves and ginger is great with the malty body. The aftertaste is smooth, fresh-herbal with the spicy coriander and ginger aroma in the back.
Very great and interesting brew!

Tap at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy dark amber with a frothy off-white head and some broken lace. The aroma is rich spicy red berry fruit, lots of cloves. Rather glogg like. The flavour is medium bitter, light sweet, with a spicy, fruit hop toothpaste bitter palate. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Quite an odd time of the year to be drinking this and in entirely the wrong place. It should be a log cabin in December in Svalbard... with a polar bear outside trying to get in!

This was a tasty beer, but something was a little off in the flavour. Anyway...poured a dark opaque coke-like colour with a tan head that dissipated fairly quickly leaving a little lacing. Nose for brown sugar, ginger, clove - and here’s that off flavour showing up - a little camphor. The taste profile was very similar with a nice maltiness, clove, ginger, and once again that medicinal note that persisted into the aftertaste. It’s like they use black cardamom rather than green, but without the smokiness.

Argonaut Liquors, Denver 50cl: This was cheaper in Denver than it would be on the East Coast, so I decided to get it. Anyway, it pours dark brown with a beige head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, ginger, and spice. The ginger taste is pretty strong and clashes in an interesting way with the robust roasted malts. Interesting and quite tasty.

Fremdeles robust krydret og fremdeles underlig. Den har forsåvidt en god balanse i krydder - men det er og blir krydder som står i sentrum.
