50cl bottle shared by Arve_Christian. Slightly hazy brown with a beige head. Spicy aroma with dark malt, cardamom, cinnamon and hints of dark fruits. Quite sweet with lots of spicy flavours and a pleasant bitterness in the finish. Name fits well. Interesting beer.

Pours dark brown slightly close to a black colored body with a nice soft looking lumpy foamy head that is about two fingers worth, a fair amount of lacing graces the sides of the glass but slides at a reasonable pace; the aroma has coca cola up front with a fair amount of spice involved with this on as I’m gettin’ some gingerbread and some toastiness; the taste is coca cola comes back again in full force with an added sharp roasty pininess, the aftertaste is coca cola-ish with a watery finish; its pretty easy on the palate; overall good herbed/spiced beer for the most part, might be worthy of another pour in small doses

500 ml bottle. Ruby color with a small off-white head. The aroma reminds me very much of glögg; I can sense cinnamon, ginger, citrus and nuts. Flavour: light sweetness, medium bitterness, lightly sour. Medium bodied with creamy texture and soft carbonation. Dry, bitter finish. Not bad!

Smak och doft av karamell, choklad, ingefära, fänkol, enbär. Tydlig beska, en underlig och annorlunda smak.

Bottle: Poured a murky dirty brown color ale with a relatively large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt with notes of cinnamon and cardamom dominates with some light citrus hops notes also noticeable. Taste is also dominated by solid caramelized malt with some cinnamon and cardamom notes. Light toffee and chocolate notes can also be detected. Body is quite full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Interesting use of the spice with good balance to keep the whole mix drinkable.

This spiced beer has cinnamon, ginger, cloves, coriander and cardamon listed as the 5 spices in the ingredients. Pours a real dark copper colour with a beige head, good retention and decent lace. Those special spices are definitely creating the most of the aromas. Hints of roasted malts and licorice. Medium-bodied with a mouthfeel that is slightly oily. The taste is not as powerful as the nose, but has a nice blend of things. Roasted malt, licorice, spices and even a bit of mint in the finish. Lingering ginger in the aftertaste. A nice Christmas brew that is good to have... once a year.

Much more balanced than the great lakes winter ale I just had. Pours dark brown with creamy head. Clove and ginger in aroma, malt. A little bitter in taste. Medium carbonation. Bottle.

500mL bottle, pours a deep dark amber-tinged brown with a medium beige / tan head. Nose is very holiday spicy, with coriander, cardamom, nutmeg and maybe some others I'm missing. Flavour is similarly spicy with a decent malt component providing some body. Very spice-heavy and while not offensive, is not really my kind of beer. No hop or real malt component to subdue any of the spices. Decent for what it is I suppose.
