Tap at Baladin Bar, Camden Market, London. Pours hazed orange amber with an off-white head. Aroma: grain, caramel, marmalade. Taste: light sweet & light to moderate bitter, citrus, orange marmalade, grapefruit, pine. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Nice old school IPA

Can from Steengaard, Beder. Clear dark golden with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and yeasty. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 040721

330 ml bottle, as Baladin l'IPA, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.5%. Slightly hazy orange to amber colour, large to moderate white (or slightly off-white) head. Aroma of grain, dust, marmalade and broth. Flavour of citrus, orange marmalade, grapefruit, pine, still with unwanted hints of broth. Medium bitter. The flavour is, after all, better than the aroma, but this is not a beer I'll buy again.

Almost clear, deep golden body under a firm off-white head. Aroma has distinct smooth malt, some pine and some general fruitiness. Taste is smooth and medium sweet malt, hint of pine, marmalade, ripe citric fruit and balanced bitterness. Nice body and fine aftertaste with the same flavors and a bitter finish. A nice, rather classic IPA leaning a bit towards British IPA
