The young Belgian illustrator Jonas Devacht created the artwork for the can, which consists of an impression of Japanese nightlife in the iconic streets of Kanda district, where you can find ‘Brasserie St.Bernardus’.
St.Bernardus Tokyo is an unfiltered ale, which has been brewed with a large amount of wheat, holding the middle between a white beer and a saison.
Character, taste, aromas
St.Bernardus Tokyo is famed for its hints of citrus, combined with likeable florals of chamomile and fruity yeast aromas of banana and red apple. Attentive beer fans may also detect a hint of clove and vanilla, as well as the typical esters of our unique St.Bernardus yeast. A refreshing beer with a spicy aroma and a slight hint of bitterness and sourness on the back of the palate! A real treat for the more adventurous beer fan.

Can (from drinkonline.eu). Hazy yellow colour, mediumsized white foamy head. Aroma is wheat, some floral tones with mild nectar, earth and caramel as well. Flavour is aloe vera, grassy, herbal, mild herbal and earthy tones.

A murky and light yellow beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has flowers, camomille light spicyness and lemon. Taste has wheat, camomille, flowers, light citrus. Medium bodied. Aromatic with lots of flowers.

Tap. Nose is pronounced wheat banana, floral, slight citrus. Taste is wheat bready, lemon, cloves, very very floral hop in the finish with a slight bitter bite.

Sampled at Max's Belgian Fest 2024. Pours a hazy gold, white head. Nose is soft, wheat and clove, banana bread. Flavor has grass and bubblegum, grist and wheat. Very soft finish.

12 oz. can. Pours a clear, bright, yellow color, with a big, pillowy, white head. The aroma is lemon verbena, orange peel, light hay, and grains of paradise. Sweet and yeasty, with a mellow, smooth bitterness. Just a touch tart. Light, frothy, a bit grainy, and clean. Easy, quality, and delicious.

Hazy yellow-orange colour, small white head. Coriander, banana in the nose. Light-bodied to medium-bodied but watery finish. Banana, clove and coriander. Basic Wit.

12 oz. can, pours a hazy blonde with a medium white head. Aroma reveals plenty of clean, soft wheat, gentle spicy coriander, and a tiny hint of citrus. Flavour is spicy and wheaty, with a very soft, clean, whiskey wheat base, spicy coriander, a hint of clove, and very light esters. Wheaty, with low residual sweetness, and gentle coriander. For the style, this is well-made.
