Bottle from Drinks & Gifts, batch 14017 bottled 20-1-2014, BB 20-1-2015, large sample, served in a tulip glass. Slight hazy golden color with lots of tiny debris floating around, small frothy off-white head. Aroma of peppery yeast, slight funky, bubblegum, citrussy hop, slight pineapple. Nice funky bitter taste, slight dry and sharpish in the alcohol. Strangely enough, hop doesnt seem to fuse well this time with the funky saison. Or maybe those 2 summer months extra cellaring were too much. I prefered the Columbus and Amarillo over this one.

25 cl bottle @ hotel room, Amsterdam. Batch #14017: bottled 20-1-2014, BBE 20-1-2015
Yeast particles floating around my glass after pour. Aroma is odd with fruit candy and some soapy apricot. Flavour has soapy apricot, grapefruit, gooseberry bush and funky yeasty tones typical to saisons. Also some peachy tones at the end of the glass. Dry and slightly leathery palate. Nicely hopped saison, a bit messy though. Perhaps due to the yeast particles? Also the hops feel a bit ’old’.

Bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus and MrHangover. Pretty hazy yellow color, small white head. Aroma is nicely citrussy, orangepeel, barnyard. Taste is quite similar: lightly yeast, citrussy, orangepeel, lightly barnyard. Average to medium body and carbonation.
