This particular beer is an interesting joint effort with an English brewery. It uses one hop varietal, a rather unusual hop grown in Kent called ‘Bramling Cross.’ The malt is from 2-row spring barley grown in France.

Draught from rattle. Cloudy yeller. Mild head. Aroma was somewhat piney and citrusish. Taste was kind of malty and bitter and earthy. Not what I expected.

330ml bottle from PreFunk. Cloudy orange golden pour, thin, silky layer of head, streaky lacing. Aroma is bready, grassy, yeasty. Taste is fruity, sourdough, yeasty notes, French bread, musty. Just a touch of hops to perk things up

5.5% 11.2oz bottle found at Hi-Time Wines in Costa Mesa. Drank in Laguna Hills early January 2023. Misty yellow with a few floating sediment 'bits' suspended within the body. Spicy and yeasty with a citrus feel, also slightly 'farm yard' in nature.

Musty, yeasty, lemon, biscuit malt, and grass aroma. Hazy golden yellow with large off-white head. Lightly sweet lemon, yeast, biscuit malt, and mildly bitter musty, dry grass flavor. Good body. A pleasure to drink.

Bottle pour from Andover Classic Wines. It's a hazy dark yellow with fine particulates caught in suspension, tons of sparkle, 2-finger width rocky white foam head with good retention and splotchy soapy lacing. Aroma is tart/sweet/bready fig newton, caramel, oak. Taste is as aroma mixed with a pilsner in a Solo cup found the night after a party. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, strong aroma and flavor for the ABV. Interesting funky right on the border of bad. Liked it more than I thought I would.

330mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out lots of rustic farmhouse yeast, some pepper, and a beautiful mustiness. Flavour is full of rustic saison yeast, farmhouse notes, pepper, and bitter hops. Very nice rustic character to this. Really good.

Draught at Rustico Alexandria: pours light clear gold with a white head. Aroma is hay, floral. Taste is a moderate sharp bitterness, quite floral. Solid bitter saison.
