Bottle at Kolding Ølmesse. Pours a dark golden, slightly hazy body with a beige head. As expected, the aroma and flavor is more pronounced than in their IPA, both on malts and hops. It’s citrusy and piney, as well as it has a caramel maltyness. The mouthfeel is full and warming, and the finish is long, bitter and hoppy. There’s also a touch of butterscotch in the beer, all the way, and that’s inappropriate. Nice beer though. Rating: 7-4-7-4-15-3.7. (080229)

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange-copper body with a decent beige head leaving lacings. Pinapple, citrus and pine in the aroma, along with a good sugary, beefstock-like, caramel maltyness. Sweet in the mouth too, perhaps a bit too sugary, but there’s enough bitterness to give it some balance, and enough carbonation to mellow it. Pine, tropical fruit, caramel and a little bready note too. Full body, quite warming. Long, malty and bitter finish with an alcohol bite. I’m not really sure about this one. I think it deserves a higher rating than I gave it the first time, but on the other hand, it’s a bit sweet and warm. It’s one of those beers that I wish I could give a 7.5 on both aroma and flavor. Ended up lifting it only 0.1 point on the overall. (080826)

Bottle, 9.2%. Nice hop aroma, tea, grass, bonbon-like caramel. Cloudy brown colour. Big stable rocky tan head. The flavour is nice and hoppy, a lot like the aroma, a little sweet. The finish has a good bitterness, grassy and cleansing. Some alcohol bitterness in the finish, slightly rough, but still good. Good mouthfeel, probably mostly from the sugar.

Hazy orange with a white head. Aroma and taste is first sweet malty with notes from caramel malts & sugar. And then hops dominates throughout. Piney, grassy & flowery hops. Medium bodied. Little warmth from alcohol. Like already said good bitter hoppy bite. But actually it is still a bit too sweet I think! But still a nice brew!Re-rating. Bottle at Esbjerg festival, 09. Sweet peachy caramel. Vaguely cloying. Way too sweet and not crispy enough. 3,7 - 3,5

Amber with a big off-white head. Big American hop aroma, with grapefruit, peach and pine. The bitterness comes through perfectly balanced by a malty sweetness, but without ever getting cloying. Both bite and hop flavour in the finish.

Bottled. A hazy red-golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet and very hoppy giving it notes of grass and grapefruit, but also with notes of alcohol. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel and a fine hop presence as well as a light alcohol burn in the cheeks, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks to thewolf.
