Power tasting at Phill's, corked bottle
Dark mahogany colour. Aroma of malt, light smoke, light Belgian esters. The alcohol is slightly burning, some Belgian beer spices (light aniseed); it has a good body and enough residual sweetness; it has a different vibe in the finish, slightly vinous.
Good.

750ml on Phill's deck. Appearance: hazy brown with a white head. Aroma: a bit oxidized, fruity, Belgian esters. Taste: along the same lines, kind of mix of Dubbel and Quad. Overall: pretty good Belgian Strong.

Cloudy copper brown with a small beige head. Light raisin notes. Raisin and light Belgian yeast notes. Decent.

750mL bottle, pours a murky reddish dark brown with a smal beige head. Aroma seems more like a Belgian (dubbel or something?), with candied sugar, toasted bready caramel, and some esters. Flavour is likewise more like a Belgian of some sort, with toasted bready malt, some tart red fruits, caramel, and a bit of esters. A little tart, quite fruity, caramely. Not exactly what I expected, but it's pretty decent.
