Bottle 0,33ltr: Clear amber coloured brew with an nice bitter taste and much hints of caramel. First Ethiopian beer bought at the Bierkoning, Amsterdam.

Lovely copper amber with a white head. Caramel malt, light raisin, a bit of fruit behind it all. Medium smooth body. Nothing amazing but an alright brew.

Amber colour, thin head. Has a sweet caramel aroma. Super sweet, cloying caramelly malts. Fairly bland. It's basically clean, just simplistic and unbalanced.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bronze color with a huge foamy orange-tan head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was toasty malts, caramel and golden fruit. The flavor was bitter and a bit tart with golden fruit, yeast and molasses. Long finish with an herbal note at the far end. Medium body. Better than I expected.

12oz bottle at an Ethiopian spot on 14th Street in DC. One of the worst beers I’ve had in a while. Not sure on the color. Smells like butterscotch and malt. Flavor is super sweet, butterscotch, malt, caramel. Slick, cloying finish. Woof.

Bottle from CBC Internet, Addis airport. Clear amber body, no head. Aroma of caramel and grain. Flavour of sour malts, pear, metal and sweet malts. Thin body with a watery texture. Lively fizz. Unbalanced and a bit skunky.

Bottle from Beers’n’more. Another country off the list... Some artificial sweetness, some pine, quite bitter and strong for an amber. Odd foam, a bit soapy. Not watery, but rather a bit too much of everything.

Bottle. Dark brown color, cream colored head. Aroma of caramel. Taste is sweet and lightly toasted caramel. Different.
