0,5 l bottle from Zisch, Wildeshausen. A very dark red brown in the glass, one finger pale beige head. Sweet malty smell. Taste is also sweet malty with some caramel, some hazelnut. Increasing dry in the second row with low bitter hop. Getting thinner to the end. Okay.

Bottle. Typowy niemiecki dunkel, o lekko wyzszej jakosci niz pozostale, Ladna piana, sredniej wielkosci ale trwala, barwa przejrzysta, klarowna, brazowo-bordowa. Pachnie karmelowymi orzeszkami, fistaszki.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Caramel and chocolate cake in the aroma. Chocolate cake and some roast in the sweetish flavor. Roasty notes lingering on in the longish aftertaste. Maybe a bit thin, but nevertheless a good beer.

Bottle at 5.4% ABV. Chestnut brown. Dense off-white head. Aroma: toaated malts, caramel, light pipe water, bread, spicy hop. Light plus body. Soft carb. Taste: rich dark malts, relatively dry. Bread, nuts, caramel, toast, dried fruit, hops. Complex enough. Light minus bitterness. Well-balanced. Tasty.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Deep copper colour with an off-white head. Aroma is quite sweet malts, some sugary and syrupy notes along with mild wooden and some toasted notes. Flavour is very similar, but not overly sweet. As it warms up it did get a bit unclean notes and it’s also having a surprisingly thin body.
