Say hello to the Bearded Lady, our uncompromisingly big and beautiful Imperial Stout. Born from our Dark Arts recipe, she uses masses of magical malts to deliver deep chocolate, rich coffee and vinous berry flavours, all complemented by a balanced yet subtly spicy hop profile. Powerful, robust, intriguing: yet decadently smooth and sumptuous, the lady demands respect.

Quite a sweet fruity aroma backed up by roasted malt. Quite an intense, juicy, fruity taste with lots of bitter roasted malts, coffee coming through strongly in the aftertaste.

Pours an inky black with some clumpy, soot colored head. Nose has a lot of licorice, toast, brown sugar, malt, a little earthy, cracker. Flavor has a lot of licorice and molasses, a touch of smoke, almost a little sausage fat, malty, toast, some soy, booze, a touch of cough syrup, black pepper. Full bodied, slightly hot, slightly peppery finish. Unique.

Bottle at home, and keg somewhere... I forget... Anyway I?m rating the bottle I see before me. Pours black as an adulterer?s heart, with a thin coffee-cream head. Lasts well, good lacing. Aromas are liquorice, cream, filth, chocolate, coffee and wantonness. And plums. Maybe cinnamon. Palate is textbook smooth, with roasted notes balancing the sweet. Hides the abv tooooo well. Damned fine. I?ll say it again... Damned fine... What a lady, what a night...
