Aged 5 years (not in my cellar). jakie jest to piwo, napewno daje do myslenia, nie jest to typowe belgijskie strong ale. Piwo ma srednia bezowa piane malo trwala, wypracowane czarne drozdze na dnie lakierowanej butelki. Aromat dobze przyprawionej i wysmazonej wolowiny lub tunczyka na patelni, rozmaryn i rozmaryn w nosie. W smaku przyprawy korzenne kwasowosc, nawet kawa zbozowa, czy inna inka. Intrygujace, kwaskowe, jakby karmelowe cukierki podlac octem winnym. Przypomina to piwo odlezakowane Rochefort w swiatecznej poltoralitrowej wersji. Przypomnial mi sie wlasnie sylwester z takim Rochefortem wlasnie. jest tu bardzo blisko smakowo. Na koniec barwa jest ciemna czekoladowa, metna.

Bottle at Craigs. Pours deep amber, nose is caramel, raisin, figs, taste is malty, chewy, citrus, wood.

Draft at the source. Clear maroon amber color, tan head. Aroma of spiced plums. Taste is sweet spiced dark fruit. decent.

Dark brown color with a frothy tan head with good retention. Aroma has notes of caramel, dark fruits, and some yeasty hints. Flavor is slightly sweet, yeasty, burnt sugar and ripe plumbs. Slightly sweet final with medium duration.

Bottle 75 cl. Pours a hazy, nutty brown with a lively but quickly dissipating beige head. Some burned caramel and dried fruit in the nose. Medium body, very lively carbonation, again burned caramel but a very unpleasant fusty and moldy note totally dominates the flavor pattern. Not really well made at all. 260614

Bottle shared by Dutchdrebus and me @ weekly tasting. A bit unclear red brown color, full sized off-white to beige head. Smell malts, lightly yeast, raisins, herbs or spices. Taste malts, herbs or spices clearly, some raisins, yeast. A bit sweet-bitter in the finish. Hmm I’m not convinced but it’s decent.
