In the Barrel Aged Series, FoxTown Beer Crew wants to show how wood ageing can influence the flavour of a beer. Cask2020/03 is an ex-sauternes whiskybarrel. The beer that went inside was our flagship beer InnerFox Tripel. This cask yielded 260 hand-numbered bottles.

Small off-white head over faintly veiled golden beer. Spicy, whisky, lemon - smells like a whisky sour for all the world. Faintly smokey, some exotic spice. Sweetish-spicy, but in a special, likeable way. Like some oriental fruitliqueur. Whisky, OTOH, is very obvious, alcoholsweetness. Light to medium bodied (which signals serious alcoholthinning), but with a ferocious alcoholbite. Not very carbonated. Not half bad!
