Small beige head. Clear deep dark red body with light carbonation. Fruity malty caramel aroma with nutty dusty raisiny notes. Sweet-dryish malty caramelly nutty taste with raisiny perfumy notes. Full-bodied. Mild, soft, faintly slick mouthfeel. Dryish syrupy toffee and caramel aftertaste with raisiny perfumy notes. Fine bitter edge lingers. Very nice and full-flavoured. (0.355l bottle, from Fish & Beer, Copenhagen.)

cloudy orange, smooth large offwhite head. very malty aroma, toasted malts, rye bread or wholegrain bread, very faint fruity note. quite special. sweet malty, caramelly, bready, loads of sweet unroasted malts, quite some bitterness to match, but very european bitterness. also tastes a bit like an aged beer, although it is not. well brewed, interesting, but also a flavor that i don’t particularily like.

$2 in a bottle from vintage. Looks quite thick in the pour. Darker pale thing with slight haze. Very mild volatile cloying sweet perfume aroma. Big alky, fruit laced tongue. Yes, a big alt fer sure. Barely any co2 but whatever is there kindah cuts with each swig. Alky soaked fruit wants to appear but doesn’t. Finish is almost cough medicine dull numbing thud.

Bottle, 0.33l, shared with colleagues. Clear deep brown color with small and totally diminishing off-white head. Aroma of caramel, dried fruits, honey, alcohol, herbal hops and some woody notes. Taste starts with sweet caramel and toffee, follows by dried fruits acidity with warming sherry note left in the mouth, while finish is moderate hoppy. Full body, syrupy texture and average carbonation in palate. Old style, but youthful character...
