ROTH Original ist eine besondere Bierspezialität - sehr mild und spritzig. Die Rezeptur für dieses Bier stammt aus der Gründungszeit der Brauerei wo es in den naturgekühlten Kellern zu einem süffigen Bier reifen konnte. Dank der überlieferten Rezeptur aus dem Jahre 1831 besitzt das ROTH Original heute wieder den unverwechselbaren Geschmack der guten alten Zeit.

A clear golden beer with a white head. Aroma of mild grainy pale malt, mild spicy and floral hops. Taste of floral and spicy hops, pale malt, hay. Moderate bitterness, easy to drink.

50 cl Bottle as Helles Original. 4.8%. Pours clear pale yellow with a white head. Dry and grassy. A bit husky. Grains and bready malts. Dry finish.

Nach dem Festbier kommt das einfache Helle. Dieses kann mich aber nicht wirklich überzeugen. Es hat einen schwächelnden Körper und tut sich schwer seine Aromen zu ordnen. So sind nette fruchtige Noten zu feinden, aber es wirkt nicht so geordnet, wie man es von einem Top-Bier erwarten könnte. Man kann es wohl gegen den Durst trinken, aber es bleibt für mich unterer Durchschnitt.

(bottle, now called Original Schweinfurter Hell, still 4.6% abv) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond medium-sized foamy head. Strawy malty, slightly perfumed aroma with doughy and grainy hints. Moderately sweet flavour, light bodied with a modest carbonation. Slightly doughy and delicately grainy pale malty aroma without any hoppy accents to speak of; slim and mildly sweet pale malty finish. Rather exchangeable. 19.VII.17
