Near-opaque brown beer, thin brown head soon fizzes away. Smell is boozy, like port. Flavour has brown sugar, sweet malt, anise, dried fruit, honey, maybe a dash of coffee? Really sweet but without getting sickly because it's not super rich. And frankly this doesn't taste as strong as it should for 15%. Delicious stuff.

Bottle, 330 ml at Ambasada. Dark brown with tan head. Chocolate, caramel, coffee, some fried fruit, wood, honey. Medium sweetness. Warming. Low carbonation.

Keg at Pigs Ear '22, day one, 29/11/22. Black with a good sized tan head. Nose is sweet malts, chocolate, spice, dried fruits, sugary notes. Taste comprises chocolate pot, brown sugar melt, herb, molasses, toffee, dried fruit rinds. Full bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with a spike of alcohol. Drinks easy for 15% but overly sweet and lacks balance in that respect.

Keykeg at Pigs Ear 2022 - day 1. Pours rich brown with a tight, creamy mocha topping. Very sweet, lots of wood, burnt honey, chocolate, cedar, dark fruits. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, sticky, some grape, more cedar, light roast. Big and sweet. Fun in a very small dose.

KeyKeg at Pigs Ear. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth and airy palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Rich dark malts, biscuity dark chocolate. Alcohol spice in the mid. Finishes slightly fruity with some more biscuity liqueur thing going on. Spicy linger. Nice.

Keg at BXL Brussels 2022. Pours dark brown towards black. Aroma: very sweet, chocolate, barrel, esters, balsamic, a little wine, molasses. Taste: moderate to heavy sweet, tawny port, chocolate, molasses, caramel, light sour. Medium body with light carbonation.
