From bottle at Bier Xperience Steenwijk 2016. Aroma is sweetish raspberries. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Body is light to medium. Not bad, less sweet and more bitter than I expected.

Bottle, orange brown color. Raspberry and a touch of flowers in the aroma. Bittersweet flavor, nutty and seedy with raspberries. Slightly yeasty. Bitter almonds. Re-rate july 2011. rating remains exactly the same. Amber color. Raspberry jam in the aroma. Yeasty flavor with raspberry juice. The yeasty notes overshadow the fruit. Sticky mouthfeel.

Bottle [as "Kasparus De Zoete Framboos", 5%] @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear orange amber color, virtually no head. Aroma is sweet, candy, very sweet lightly artificial red fruit. Taste is a bit weird. It has that sweet red fruit in it, but it also reminds me of the sort of weird bitter flavor you taste when you bite on a seed (not sure whether that is the correct word for it, but I mean what’s inside of most fruits like an apple for instance.) Anyway. Flavor doesn’t really please me though it’s not bad either. Weird one.

Bottle (de zoete framboos) @ benzai. Clear beautiful orange to amber, peachy colour with a small white head. Smells fruity, sweet, malts, frambozenzuurtjes. Tastes watery, badly mixed ranja, raspberry. Thin body, soft carbo. Needs more raspberry syrup.

330ml bottle. [European ’Tour de quitter’ or ’Trauerzug durch die Gemeinde der ausgeschiedenen Nachbarn’ part three: Netherlands - not eventuated, but I’ve been prepared]. Slightly cloudy amber colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish raspberry aroma. Taste is bitter hoppy, moderately sweet raspberry background, a peppery spicy yeasty note; bitter and chalky finish. Nice raspberry note, slightly baffling accompanying flavours, not really useful for exposing the raspberry taste. Not a complete failure.

Rötlich-bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Himbeeren, leicht säuerlich, trocken, so ist auch der Geschmack.

Kudo’s for Kasparus for not using artificial sweetners. This beer has the real taste of raspberry. Slightly sour and bitter, with some modest sweetness.

(bottle) Clear reddish mahogany with big white head. Aroma of raspberries. Light body with plenty of carbonation giving a great mouthfeel. Flavour is raspberries and sweetness (pleasant, not cloying like some fruit beers) with tartness and bitterness developing for a nice long tasty finish. Overall a very nice raspberry beer with a good balance of sweet and sour, some interesting bitterness and good raspberry taste. (Note - I left the yeast in the bottle.)
