(750ml bottle shared @ Sardines, Quebec City, Aug 9 2020) Pours hazy pale orange with a large fluffy eggshell head and some lace. Notes of soft but rich citrus peel aromatics, lemony lactic but also deeper orange, biscuity cereals with subtle caramel, quite deep and complex yeast and funk notes, soft esters, woodsy elements (is this barrel aged?), good balanced moderate tartness, nice minerality, lingering citrus and wood/leaves infused funk in the finish. Light to medium bodied, slick and oily with soft to moderate but filling carbonation. Very nice surprise, there was a lot of depth to the yeast/bacteria here that made for an engaging drink that was better than expected.
