Tasting at Ryan's, bottled 2020, 4 years old
Hazy golden colour, medium head, persistent. The aroma is mildly funky, some bread. Medium body, some acidity and some astringency, bready malt; wood, Brett.
It's ok.

Poured from 750mL bottle (thanks Derek & JF; bottled 18-03-20; bb 18-03-22). Mild funkiness, some oak, a feint hint of butter, dry feint floral bitter hopping on the finish, decent.

7/10
A hazed golden ale with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light acidity and Epsom salts, light funk, pleasant and smooth. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light lemony notes, tropical fruits, light Epsom salts, very nice. Bottle.

Bottle: Poured a clear golden color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of rustic malt notes with some clean cereal notes and soft bready ester. Taste is a mix of bready yeast notes with some rustic cereal notes and light funky ester. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Easy drinking with a good level of complexity.

750ml (thx, Jonathan D.!) at Matt's amenity room. Appearance: hazy straw with a white head. Aroma: just an amazing mix of honey, flowers, and funk. Taste: along the same lines, with some hoppy bitterness. Overall: another 👌 thing from Auval.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark golden orange with a small white head. Nose is full of wild brett yeast, with moderate funk, oak, and totally fermented out honey. Flavour reveals the totally fermented out honey, wild yeast, rustic saison yeast, barnyard funk, and oak barrels. Wonderful yeast character, with a lovely wild, funky character. Dry, funky finish. Lovely—another masterpiece from these guys.
