Made by a family-owned brewery in Wisconsin that’s been a-brewin’ for more than 150 years, Simpler Times Pilsner is an old-world, Czech-style Pilsner that's refreshing, easy to drink, and has a well-balanced flavor that pairs swimmingly with seafood, sweet sauces, and reductions. And just like in simpler times, this brewer never adds any of the fillers found in some inexpensive beers. We’re all for simply terrific beer at a simply terrific price. Here’s to Simpler Times!

12 oz. bottles, tasted alongside Simpler Times Lager to see if there’s any difference: The Lager pours pale yellow, but a little more color than the average macros, lots of bubbles and a fizzy head. Pilsner shows pretty much the same color, but a longer lasting head and finer streams of bubbles. Both a have a sweet smell of corn adjunct wrapped around the unmistakable impression of wet peanut shells. By the time I get to taste the Pilsner, it still has its head, so there is something of a difference here. Taste is less of bad beer, but still not quite actual beer. Has slightly more substance, perhaps, but still over produced and not very pleasant. Impressions of shoe polish. Just another way for Minhas to fill a hole in its production schedule and further degrade the once decent reputation of Huber. The beers from Biersch and Schell’s that Trader Joe’s actually puts its name on at least have "beerlike" qualities.
