Bottle from a friend. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, bit roasty, dried dark fruits with notes of dates and raisins, touch of liquorice. Flavour is sweet and mildly bitter. Body is medium. Not a bad Bock, a bit more roasty than most examples of the style.

300ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, brown colour with ruby shimmer and small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Caramel and dark malty aroma, a minimally doughy, yeasty touch, hints of caramel, a touch of malt lozenge. Taste is minimally dry, sweet-ish, caramel malty, minimally roasty and nutty, dark malty, hints of dark caramel, a touch of malt lozenge, milk chocolate, minimally doughy, yeasty overtones; slightly bitter, roasty finish. Watery, minimally creamy texture, minimally dry palate, medium prickly carbonation. Not overly beefy - OK.

Bottle shared massive thanks to sjogro. Deep mahogany with beige head. Cigs, sugary, cocoa, cardboard, ash, roasted malts, blackberies. Solid medium sweet and medium bitter. Solid oily body. Quite a roasted bock, too bad there's so much cardboard because otherwise it's not too bad.

Pear fruit and the slightest hint of roasted malt in the aroma. The roasted malt flavor is stronger. Pear drups. Thin. Bittersweet aftertaste with hints of cinnamon. Label says: the best bock in 2004. Sorry Aart, I know your beers since you had the brewery just started in Uitwellingerga, and I don’t think you make the best Dutch bock.
