Matriarch is our beloved Triple IPA. Originally brewed in 2009 at our Brewpub, this recipe has always brought big bright american hop character and a light sweetness from a touch of honey malt and a sizable ABV. Three separate dry hops build layers of effervescent tangerine flesh, pineapple juice, mango custard, and lime rind. New depths of luponic consumption via a rich and resinous body.

Oh no, a 3$ can of triple IPA for a triple macro pale lager lover! This could be a triple serious tasting session disaster! Pour is mostly clear pale with a slight haze, long lasting white triple craggy head. Nose is somewhat triple aged old IPA hops - brewed on nov of 25, oh well. A triple IPA, eh? Taste is triple cloying, triple mouthcoating, triple angry, triple resentful, triple lippy, triple cheeky, and triple cocky. Not only that, its triple mushy and triple medicinal. Triple viscous hop juice with triple funky mahdeena. Lousy triple crappy crummy triple trash for my triple girlie buds. Straight up triple straight up triple ass. I'm triple taking a triple L. Finally, I must triple say; its so terribly triple on style! What else can be triple said? Except triple maybe, I'm catching a mild little triple buzz off this triple 4 ounce can! For me, this stuff is on the same triple IPA stupifying level as; Columbus Creeper, Columbus Nug Wizard, Lag's Hazicus Maximus, Goose Island Tropical Beer Hug and New Holland Uber Space Machine! Holy triple sheet! Imperial IPA loverz, put this triple on yer triple bucket list, and I'm not talking about Belgian tripels! At least it didn't triple trigger my gag reflex; which is a triple plus and really saying triple something for the most triple bitter IPAs I've tasted in nearly 10K sessions - triple LoL . . . . .

Draft at Jackie Oβs Brewpub, 7/14/14. Pours a clear copper color with a medium sized creamy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of citrus, herbal hops, candied citrus. The taste is citrus, tropical hops and strong pale malt. Medium bodied, low carbonation, slight booze, moderate lingering bitterness. Nice.

On tap at Jackie Oβs. Pours gold with a decent head and huge aromas of mango, papaya, pineapple and a hint of resin. The papaya was a particular shock to me. Very strong presence in both the nose and flavor. Booze is obvious (board says 11.9% on this batch) and it says \"Beware!\"

From the September 2012 3R6P gathering. +++ From a growler this beer poured a medium amber color with a medium sized foamy white head that faded and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was strong catbox and pine. The flavor was strong catbox, pine, sour orange, a moderate boozy presence and sharp and crisp grapefruit. Long finish of catbox, pine and orange. Thick and full bodied. Interesting.

Hazy amber beer. Softish palate, a little dry. Light carbonation. Rich grapefruit marmalade. Aniseed - licorice spice and subtle sweet peach and fresh orange. Finishes dry but then has a bitter spicy aftertaste. Very drinkable DIPA.
