Sample thanks to Grumbo, cheers Graham! Reddish amber gold colour, bubbly white head and aroma of malt, orange marmalade note, dried fruity. Taste is malt, molasses, dried fruits, christmas cake, berries, some bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, malty tangy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

500ml bottle [kindly allocated by country rating Titan Grumbo - thank you very much again, Graham!]. Milky, ruby colour with average to huge, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Mellow malty aroma, fruity hoppy overtones with hints of red berries. Taste is mellow and minimally spicy malty, a touch of toffee, hoppy overtones with hints of red berries, frozen strawberry. A bit light and weak for 7.5% abv.

Bottle @ the brewery. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are caramel, fruits, yeast, rich malt, little alcohol and hops. Sweet finish.

Bottle at La Capanna. Clear reddish amber color, tan head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of lager and caramel. Taste is sweet burnt caramel.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber red color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty grainy caramel aroma. Sweetish malty spicy caramel flavor. Has a sweetish malty spicy caramel finish.

Das Rote ist eine gut gelungene Kombination aus süß-malzigen Aromen und Fruchtigkeit -die Hopfenbittere bleibt da eher im Hintergrund.

Bottle at the brewery in San Marino and shared with the owner Andrea and John. Pours a cloudy mid brown colour with a good sized cream colour head. Aroma of dark fruit, plum, malt and chocolate. Medium sweetness, low bitterness. Medium carbonation. Medium body, texture slightly sticky. Finish is a little too sweet but that aside enjoyed this very much.
