Bottle: Poured a clear brown color ale with a rather large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of medium spicy rye malt notes with some bitter and light citrusy hoppy notes. Taste is a very drinkable mix between some peppery and spicy rye malt notes with a bitter and light citrus hoppy finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Well brewed with no flaws though not as powerful as expected.

Draught. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bittter flaor. Rye just present. Average moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Bottle, Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Poured a darkish amber colour crowned by a restrained off-white head. Decent piney hop snout in tandem with some rye and citrus notes. Some fairly robust bitterness developed in the flavour , alongside some citrus and spice with the rye lurking in the shadows. Fairly prolonged bitter finish. A characterful and tasty brew. Really enjoyed this.

355ml bottle. Pours dark orange with a large head. Aroma is faint, mango with some peppery notes. Taste is bitter and peppery to start. Very bitter finish with some mango. Spicy. Full in the mouth.

Hazy amber color, bright, with medium head. Very nice aroma of caramel and resiny hops. Lean body, but with round mouthfeel; very good caramel flavor, light underlying sweetness, a touch of toffee, and strong bitterness, with some resonance and bitter oranges; the rye adds some depth to this IPA.

Bottle sample from a friend. Pours dark red-orange with a moderately-sized beige head. Hop aromas prevalent, initially pine and orange rind, becoming noticeably passion fruit-dominated as it reached room temp. Sugary toffee malt aromas as well, with limited bready notes from the rye. Flavour again dominated by hops and caramel malts, pine and citrus similarly replaced by passion fruit in the finish after warming. Again some dark peppery rye bread notes but not the richness expected. Mouthfeel medium, without the rye body hoped for, comes across as an IPA with a good malt structure but I hoped for a RyePA with more rye character.

Aroma: The nose is citrus hops, bread, rye, caramel, and spice
Appearance: Pours a copper color with a beige head and medium-plus lace
Flavor: The taste has the components of the nose, with sweet malts, citrus, and spicy hops
Palate: The body is medium, it has a nice, clean mouthfeel, and a dryish finish
Overall Impression: I've had this one a few times over the last few months on draft at various bars, and I have regularly enjoyed this one. A nice new seasonal offering from Sierra that I hope sticks around permanently. Good stuff.

Bottled. Clear brownish amber, rich firm head. Pear, grapefruit and bread in the nose. Mid dry with firm, rounded mouthfeel and solid body. Plenty of hops - gooseberry and pears. Some ginger snaps and white pepper in a mid bitter finish. Very well made and reltively laid back with good balance.
