Rye has been a staple grain for millennia—sought after for its stubborn resilience in the field and revered for its unique flavor. Ruthless Rye IPA is brewed with rustic grains for refined flavors, combining the peppery spice of rye and the bright citrusy flavors of whole-cone hops to create a complex ale for the tumultuous transition to spring.

355ml bottle. Pours amber with a generous head. The nose has biscuits and just a hint of pine. The taste has ginger biscuits, with a beautiful clove note that lasts all the way through to the finish. The palate has a medium body with a medium thick texture and a lovely dry but elegant finish. Overall, a really interesting beer of individual personality.

355ml bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. Bright amber with a fast fading white head; aroma of fresh resionous hops with a touch of citrus; rich and buttery in the mouth with lots of piney hops; and a dry, hoppy finish. Not much trace of the rye.

355ml Bottle (At Jolo’s) - Amber in colour. Grapefruit, toffee, pine and rye in the aroma. Grapefruit, peach and toffee feature in the fairly hoppy taste.

Riktigt gott!

Bottle. Clear dark amber with a medium head. Aroma of malt, hops, dark bread, grass and some "spices". The taste was not as bitter and hoppy as expected. Still a descent beer.

355 ml bottle bought @ Systembolaget. Pours clear dark amber with a huge creamy off-white head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of trace on the glass. Smell is malty, fresh and hoppy with dark bread, pine, orange and lemon peal, grass, pineapple, unripe mango and subtle hints of metal. Taste is tiny sweet, bitter and malty with grass, oily pine, bread, orange peal, green chili, wet soil and hints of lemon zest and honey. Mouthfeel is round, tiny oily bitter and medium bodied. Finish is slightly sweet, slightly bitter and tiny metallic with dark bread, grass, pine and orange peal. A nice, and simple IPA.

Bottle. Clear, amber liquid with medium, foamy off-white head. Quite rustic, hoppy aroma with notes of grapefruit, pepper/spice, citrus, caramel, cereal malt, tropical fruit and pine. Pleasant aroma. Taste is dry and medium bitter with a peppery, citrusy finish. Some fresh hops. Really drinkable. Medium bodied with good carbonation and maybe a bit watery mouthfeel. Nice thirst quencher now when it starts to get warmer. Good balance between hops and rye.

Bottle. Slightly hazy amber color with a medium off-white head. Fresh hoppy aroma with citrus, some tropical fruits and rye. Bitter grapefruity and piney hops flavor, somewhat resinous, with some malt, light caramel sweetness in the background, a touch of rye and a nice lingering bitter finish. Rounded mouthfeel. Really nice.
