Can from the brewery. Opaque dark brown, nice sparkle, thin cap of head, fair retention, trace lacing. Aroma is strong roasted malt, coffee. Taste is strong roasted malt, notes of dark chocolate and coffee. Smooth texture, average carbonation and finish as taste with light bitterness. Nice Schwarzbier.

Coffee, chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Dark brown with large tan head. Moderately sweet coffee, chocolate malt, and mildly bitter hay/grass flavor. Good body. Nice.

Pour is a black with a large bubbly tan head. Aroma is a real nice roasty and charred malt. Flavor is and other good smoky roasted and charred malt with a nice bitterness in the back end. Decent schwarzbier with plenty of roasted malt flavor.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a deep brown with a finger of beige head that dissipates. Lovely cocoa powder and coffee aromas. Crisp and clean on the palate with more cocoa mixed with peppery hops. Smooth, crisp finish that lingers.
