Imperial Stout with Mackinac Fudge Coffee, Maple Syrup and Chocolate Aged in Oak Bourbon Barrels
Michigan didn’t invent old-fashioned fudge, but it was perfected here. We pay tribute to this time-honored tradition with KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge. By amplifying the rich chocolate notes of KBS using Mackinac Fudge coffee, then adding maple syrup and aging it in oak bourbon barrels, we’ve created a bold new take on our barrel-aged classic – one that could only have originated in Michigan.

Keg @ C Firtal, Odense. Pours Black with a small beige head and lacings. Roast, maple, fudge, caramel and chocolate. Big, oily and slick. Candybar bit quite roasted and dry. Hearty sipper.

On tap at Christian Firtal. Black with a small off-white head. Aroma of maple syrup, vanilla, caramel and milk chocolate. Sweet chocolate flavour with maple syrup and bourbon, including a touch of booze.

Bottle. Pours opaque black with a small beige head and decent lacing. Aroma of espresso, vanilla, chocolate, cocoa, maple. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter. Fullish body. Good.

Shared with the boys at BBT 11/2021. Full body, med-high carbonation. High sweetness has the upper hand, moderate roasty bitterness, only surprisingly light warmth. Lots of maple syrup, toffee, med-high chocolate, rather low deep roast. Quite tasty, quite good.

Shared bottle at BBT november 2021. Dark brown color with Biden head. Aroma of coffee, maple syrup, nougat. Sweet taste with nougat, maple syrup, chocolate. Nice.
