Big ol bottle with some age on it shared by Stacey on 10/13/18. Glassy ruby-mahogany. No head. Smells like prunes. Wow thats weird. Pruney. Fig raisin plum no roast. Soft and watery with prune and light acidity. Weird lactic prune raisin.

On tap at Kiuchi brewery, Naka, Ibaraki, Japan. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate aroma. Tastes roasty, malty, chocolate. Lacking in complexity.

Tap at the Alehouse. Pours black. Aroma is sweet raisin, some lactose, chocolate. Body is light and simple, some sweetness, almost no bitterness, low carbonation. Hints of oxidation. Dryish palate. Okay, but really not a gold nugget.

On tap at the Lower Right, Tokyo. Pours dark brown with medium beige head. Malty, milk chocolate, cocoa, bit roasted, sweet. Short finish, and light even a bit watery. Not bad, but too light for me.
