[500ml bottle from Tesco’s, Reading] Pours amber-red with a small beige head. Light yet prickly carbonation. Nice fresh aroma. Initial flavour is unfortunately that metal-and-cardboard flavour of a pasteurised beer (unusual for Adnams, who normally manage to avoid it). However, this is soon washed away by the classic Adnams malt. really nice malt in fact. Lots of biscuit, some caramel and a little roasted malt with a surprisingly dry and refreshing bitter finish. Short of Adnams’ best; good effort for the low ABV though.

Bottle. A clear, golden beer with a decent, off-white head. Fruity hops, some slighlty roasted, or bready, malts and some caramel on the nose. The flavor is on the sweet, malty side, with some bready, roasted hints, a little caramel and fruity hops. Low on bitterness. Quite thin on the palate. The finish has a decent bitterness. An easy drinkable session beer that might be a bit boring. (090328)

500 ml bottle. Clear amber body with a fine off-white head. Aroma is clean malty with some fruit. Flavor is light malty, rather refreshing, some fruitiness and a mild hoppy finish. OK to be this low in alcohol, otherwise a bit boring after one glass.

Bottle that I picked up in Tesco, Aylesbury 23-03-09 consumed 29-03-09 Poured amber with slightly off white head. Reasonable hoppy bite from the off, but then it seems to slip into mediocrity. There is a decent bitter in here I’m sure but I’m struggling to find anything more than an average light fruity offering. Its just ok really. A5 A3 F5 P3 OV12 2.8

Bottle from Tesco. Amber coloured with a decent, beige head. Aroma of cereal malts. Flavour of digestive biscuits, with some hop bitterness in the finish. Ok, if a bit subdued.

500ml bottle picked up at Centra in Oslo. Inviting golden brown body colour. Fading, white head leaving a few patches on the surface. Moderate aroma of fruitlike malts. Starts with a prominent taste of tart, late oranges and continues with a weaker touch of caramel malts. Discreet bitter backdrop. Easy going and light bodied, but very refreshing [hotel room in Oslo, 19.11.2008].

Biggish offwhite shiny head does not last. Amber body. Malty roasty perfumy aroma with notes of caramel and floral hops. Dry-sweet wooden malty tea taste with roasty floral hop notes. Mid- to thin body. Dry roasty wooden aftertaste with faint citric metallic notes. Very nice. Good session beer. (0.5l bottle, Centra, Oslo.)
