500ml bottle from Morrisons online. Clear amber, small off white head, minimal retention. Aroma is faint malts and stewed fruit; bog standard. Taste is like aroma, quite basic a bit thin, some biscuit malts and light raisin and orange zest. Not the best, but perfectly refreshing and drinkable.

Bottle from local Tesco. Not much of a nose really – just generally malty with a hint of rotting fruit. Pours the classic bitter brown with a small and transient off-white head. In the mouth it’s mainly sweet malts at first, with traces of caramel. Later on some hops come through and linger in the finish. It’s a standard bitter really, but quite tasty for its strength.
