(Bottle, 0.355 l, at Pikkulintu, 201107012) The beer poured copper coloured and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had molasses and malts. Palate was quite light bodied and bit watery with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, sweetness, mildly saltiness, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. Not a bad one but unfortunately this bottle was past its best by date and its shows.

Bottle. A clear, amber beer with a finger-thick off-white head. Malty, caramel aroma with fruityness and a tiny sour hint. Slightly sourish flavor too, with caramel and fruityness, amber malts. Medium body. Short finish. Rather boring and not entirely clean. 110614

Medium beige head. Lovely deep reddish amber body with light carbonation. Full roasty toffee aroma with dusty earthy oranges notes. Dry-sweet burnt earthy toffee taste with dusty alcohol notes. Fullish body. Mild and soft faintly prickly mouthfeel. Dry earthy toffee aftertaste with dusty roasty strawy notes. Bready and wild berry notes, too. Lovely! Highly drinkable, yet full of flavour and character. (0.355l bottle, wine monopoly Vika, Oslo.)

Bottle at CPK. Pours rich amber with a small head. Nose of deep malts, apple juice, slight caramel. Medium sweet flavor, toasty malts, ripe fruits, brown sugar. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Slight roast/toast finish, bit of caramel and bread. Not bad.

Bottle thanks to Tom at Cask Pub & Kitchen. Clear amber no real head. Lots of cereal and touch of spice aroma. Lots of cereal. Yeah touch of perfume on finish. Yes has marzen elements but just a bit of puke on the end. Not that likeable though. Lots of biscuit

Bottle 12fl.oz. @ home on the terrace.Clear medium red amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, bread, caramel, nutty, light hoppy. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, malty, bread, caramel, ripped berry notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bottle @ Vinens Verden, Odense. Pours dark ruby amber with a small white head on top. Nose is sweet of caramel , grains and a touch of earthy and dusty malts. Flavor is thick caramel , earth, grain and nuts. Tasty is ok , but a rather extreme example of the style and too sweet.

355ml bottle picked up at Vinmonopolet Vika in Oslo. Clear amber body, minimal off-white head. Dry, nutty malts to the nose. Earthy malts to the taste buds together with almond. More sweet than bitter towards the ending. So and so (hotel room, 27.04.2011).

Bottle from Vinmonopolet. Pours caramel amber, with a light head. Malty sweet aroma with dark caramel, syrup and some notes of sweet bread. Taste of lightly burned malt, with caramel and some notes of dark chocolate. Sweet finish, with a lightly burned, short aftertaste.
