A reddish brown marzen with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a nice nutty malt with light cinnamon. In mouth, a nice nutty malt with light cinnamon, nice and smooth. On tap at Snallygaster DC, Oct. 13 2012.

Bottled (thanks K.N.). Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is caramel and bready malts with some resiny and wooden notes. Flavour is mild toasted malts, caramel and some crystal notes. Pleasant balance, but a bit thin as for the palate.

Clear reddish brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, madeira tones, quite sweet. Sweet malty flacvour, light bitter. Light bitter finish, old malts, light sweetness.
Not bad, though I imagine it would be better when fresh.

355 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet Vika. ABV is 4.8%. Hazy orange-brown colour, moderate head, slightly off-white. Aroma of wood, resin, smoke and ashes, hints of caramel. The flavour has first some malty sweetness with caramel, but ends dry and ashy. Quite moderate resinous hops. Hints of smoke. Drinkable, but not something I’ll buy again.

Small 4oz sample of the draft at Rustico. Poured a dark orange color with a small off-white head. Aroma was standard Oktoberfest-style brew, with a nice malt aroma. Flavor was sweet malts, caramel. "Oktoberfest" for sure. Relatively enjoyable.
