When Daniel Thwaites was embarking on his brewing career, the INDUS would have been voyaging to the East Indies – trading Lancashire cotton for exotic Eastern delights. Our INDUS Pale Ale celebrates ales of that period with a refreshing brew enriched with abundant hops for flavour that stays fresh and crisp to the finish.
Refreshing amber ale, brewed with four hop varieties for superb taste and aroma.

Bottle 500ml (S-Market, Pori)
Clear amber color, small white head. Aroma is grassy and a bit cardboardish. Medium-bodied. Fruity hoppyness but also some buttery notes. Berryish. Lingering bitterness. Quite robust for being English type IPA of this ABV but somewhat restless.

Bottle from Tesco, Longford [190214]
Dark amber, clear, frothy white head, some lacing
Aroma of fruity caramel malts, soft orange, soft peach, sweet fruits, barley sugar
Taste of orangey sweet fruity malts, dab of mango and peach, barley sugar malts, mainly sweet fruity malt, slight hop bitterness
Palate - soft carb, medium body, oily texture, fairly sweet palate. Finish as main flavour, soft bitter hop, oily sweet malty finish
Overall - Reasonably good for a supermarket beer, seemed better to me than the very low rates on here
