(Bottle) Pours slightly hazy golden amber with big dense white head. Pleasant subtle fresh hoppy aroma - hints of grass, tea, seaweed and citrus. Light bodied with plentiful pleasant carbonation. Well balanced taste with soft malt at the start and hops coming in over the top. The cask version of this was one of my favorite beers when I lived in England. Don’t think I tried the bottled version. Very drinkable.

500ml bottle. Clear amber with a creamy off-white head, good lacing. Aroma: light, bready, sweet caramel malt, toffee, hops. Taste: Sweet malty, caramel, fruity, light hoppy bitter finish. Smooth, crisp. Bitters aren’t usually my thing but I really enjoyed this one.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys, as part of my phase of revisiting classic English ales. Pours amber. Nice peppery hops, light earthy malts. Standard old school pale, but rather uninspiring.
